Domestic energy rates are standard and publicly listed on each provider’s website. Lowerfees.ie strives to help advise on the rates of various providers, provides quotes, and assists to make signing up or switching easier. We do not charge any broker fee as we receive a referral fee from the energy provider. We also have a reward programme where we’ll send you a bonus gift from our sister company Specialgifts.ie, which supports small brands from around Ireland. This is sent to you approximately 6 weeks after signing up.
Once we have your details, we’ll submit them to the energy provider as per the agreed quote. Your contract and billing is directly between you and the energy provider. Depending on the provider, you’ll then either be contacted directly to approve your sign-up, or you’ll receive confirmation of the account setup by email. For domestic energy accounts, unless otherwise stated you have a 14 day cooling off period where you can cancel should you wish. Cancellation terms during a contract may incur a cancellation fee which is dependant on the provider. eg: Flogas charge €50/service cancelled, SSE charges €100/service cancelled, whereas Community Power does not charge an exit fee. WHAT TO EXPECT
Merchant Services Account
We operate as an additional layer of support and advice to ensure you have great rates and great customer service. Once we have your information, you will receive a contract for digital signature. Once signed, your application is submitted to the acquiring bank and they process it via 7 layers or verification because it is a financial service and they do background checks on the business owners and company, including AML checks. Once approved, they issue a MID (Merchant ID number) which is then programmed onto either a card terminal or connected to a payment gateway for ecommerce. You will receive confirmation of your account setup, and we’ll let you know when it’s on the way to you. We’re here to support you in the long-term so you can reach us on Whatsapp aside from the usual 24/7 technical support.
